Job Overview

Finley Construction Company, LLC is seeking a skilled, detailoriented Tile & Finish Carpenter to support our residential remodeling and construction projects. This role is ideal for a wellrounded tradesperson who understands that highquality tile work depends on proper carpentry, framing, and preparation.

We are not looking for someone who only sets tile. We are looking for a professional who can install tile proficiently and handle the carpentry work that ensures tile installations are durable, flat, and longlasting.

Our projects include kitchens, bathrooms, finished basements, and custom residential spaces where craftsmanship, communication, and pride in workmanship matter.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces for tile installation, including layout planning, leveling, waterproofing, and substrate prep

  • Install floor, wall, shower, and backsplash tile with precision and attention to detail

  • Cut and set tile accurately using appropriate tools and techniques

  • Apply grout, sealants, and finishes to meet company quality standards

  • Read and follow plans, layouts, and design specifications

  • Coordinate with foremen and other trades to maintain workflow and project timelines

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the project

  • Communicate progress, material needs, and challenges clearly to supervisors

  • Assist with jobsite setup and wrap-up as needed

  • Share responsibility for jobsite cleanliness and safetyno task is beneath anyone

Qualifications
  • Expertise in layout, prep, waterproofing, and setting tile to industry standards.

  • Proficient with tile saws, hand tools, and related equipment.

  • High attention to detail and pride in your craftsmanship.

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor safely.

  • Strong work ethic reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team.

  • Valid drivers license and dependable transportation required.

  • Willingness to grow professionally through training and team collaboration.
