Job Title: Order Filler
Department: Production
Job Summary:The Order Filler is responsible for accurately preparing, scanning, and coordinating linen carts for delivery to assigned hotels within the linen operation. This role ensures all linen items are scanned correctly, weights are entered accurately, and orders are completed, staged, and ready for on-time departure. The Order Filler supports production flow, order accuracy, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced industrial laundry environment.Key Responsibilities:Order Preparation & Accuracy:• Accurately scan all linen carts and enter correct weights into the system.
• Verify that each hotel receives the correct linen items and quantities according to delivery requirements.
• Ensure all hotel orders are fully prepared, staged, and ready prior to scheduled departure times.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy to prevent shortages, overages, or incorrect deliveries.Systems & Documentation:• Use computer systems to track orders, weights, and delivery readiness.
• Operate and maintain accurate records using the Radiant System and Linen Master.
• Ensure all scans, weights, and order entries are completed accurately and in a timely manner.Communication & Coordination:• Communicate effectively with supervisors, loaders, and production teams to confirm cart counts and contents.
• Monitor order readiness and proactively address issues that may impact on-time departures.
• Report discrepancies, shortages, damages, or delays to supervisors promptly.Production Flow & Staging:• Support smooth workflow between linen production and loading operations.
• Organize, stage, and position linen carts in designated areas for efficient loading.
• Follow established linen handling, scanning, and staging procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy. Qualifications:• Previous experience in a linen operation, industrial laundry, warehouse, or production environment preferred.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn scanning and order tracking systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, push and pull linen carts, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Work Environment:• Industrial linen laundry and distribution facility.
• Exposure to noise, moving equipment, and production activity.
• Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and pushing carts.
• Must follow all safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
