About This Position
The Summer Engineering Internship will provide hands on, practical experience in mechanical engineering within a manufacturing environment.

Education and/or Experience
2-3 years completed of a Mechanical Engineering degree from an accredited university or school.
CAD Modeling or Drafting experience

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The associate is frequently required to talk or hear. The associate is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Vision requirements are important for design, observation and safety. Ability to make and develop prototypes can require assembly and light lifting at times. Depending on the size and weight of the equipment can require team lifting as well. The ability to judge colors can also be required for making labels and the ability to see and measure fine details associated with fit-ups of the products.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The environment is typical for sheet metal equipment environment. At times we are required to work around fumes such as adhesives and chemicals or in the hot plant during the summer as needed. Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts as well as live electrical parts during development of products. Must have the ability to use equipment such as test and airflow measuring equipment.
Requirements:Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Apply knowledge that has been gained from Engineering Bachelor's program to Engineering projects.
- Create and redesign CAD drawings to improve mechanical drawings and the design of the product.
- Assist in preparing project documents and documentation.
- Will work closely with Engineers, Project Leaders and Product Managers.
