Clubhouse Food Runner at Interlachen Country Club Inc – WINTER PARK, Florida

POSITION TITLE: Clubhouse Food Runner

JOB SUMMARY: Serves food and beverages according to established rules of etiquette and performs any and all other duties necessary to assure a memorable dining experience for all members and guests.

WORK PERFORMED:

1. Checks daily function sheets for any special set-ups for member or private parties.

2. *Reports to and receives any special instruction for the day's activities from the supervisor.

3. *Tastes and memorizes special menu items and descriptions for each meal period.

4. *Performs all side-work duties required for set-up for each meal period.

5 *Takes beverage and food orders, if necessary.

6. *Responsible for alerting supervisor to potential problems with over consumption of alcohol or underage drinking.

7. *Addresses members with friendly and courteous attitudes at all times and uses suggestive selling techniques when taking food and beverage orders.

8. *Serves food in proper sequence of course.

9. *Clears tables and resets.

10. *Takes phone to-go orders according to ICC standards.

11. *Organizes and maintains cleanliness of workstation.

12. *Develops a thorough understanding of all food and wine menus.

13. *Ensures that food plates meet specific requirements, per tickets.

14. *Ensures that all food items are presentable and fit for consumption before delivery to diners.

15. *Maintains a clean and presentable appearance.

16. *Responsible for reading, understanding, and adhering to the Club Bylaws and Rules, as necessary.

17. *Advises supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur. Reports any rule infraction to supervisor.

18. *Performs all side-work at the end of the shift.

19. *If necessary, completes server report at end of shift.

20. Performs all other duties assigned by supervisor.

21. Reports to supervisor before leaving premises.

PHYSICAL / MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. *May be required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

2. *May be required to work in the heat and sun for periods of time.

3. *Requires occasional bending, reaching, stretching.

4. *Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

5. *May be required to climb step stools of a height of 3 feet.

6. *Must carry and balance loaded tray.

7. *Must be capable of working under pressure.

8. *Must be capable of working in a fast paced, team environment.
