Odyssey House is seeking a Mental Health Therapist for our Outpatient Program!

Job Location: 6150 S Redwood Rd, Taylorsville, UT

Schedule: 4 10-hour shifts; 3 days a week, 12 to 10 pm; 1 day a week, 10 to 8 pm; work-from-home incentive earned with timely documentation.

Compensation:

  • New Therapist: Starting wage $65,000
  • Fully Licensed Therapist: $70,000
  • 5 years of Applicable Experience: $75,000

Requirements: Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Therapist, you will:

  • Appropriately diagnose mental health and substance-related conditions using the DSM-5.
  • Utilize the Therapeutic Community model as the main component of treatment.
  • Conduct individual, family, and group therapy as assigned.
  • Develop effective rapport with clients on caseload while maintaining healthy boundaries.
  • Complete thorough and effective assessments, such as funding extension requests, within required timeframes.
  • Coordinate client psychiatric evaluations and other wrap-around services to provide effective care.
  • Complete treatment planning within required timeframes.
  • Utilize motivational techniques to retain and support client progress.
  • Actively utilize the treatment team for clinical support on caseload.
  • Maintain 28 hours of face-to-face time with clients per week.
  • Connect clients to community resources.
  • Complete service documentation within the appropriate client management system within 24 hours.
  • Accurately document services using ASAM Dimensional Analysis format, including all required elements.
  • Maintain proactive communication with collateral supports, including family members, significant others, probation officers, judges, caseworkers, and other relevant parties, and complete accurate, thorough client and court reports within established timeframes.
  • Document all incidents immediately and report as required.
  • Provide high-quality client care within the scope of the assigned position.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • You have strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities and interventions.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You are able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team.
  • You understand trauma-informed care principles.
  • You are able to maintain appropriate professional boundaries with clients.
  • You are eligible to work in the USA.
  • You have First Aid and CPR Certification.
  • If working with children or vulnerable adult populations, you must pass a criminal background check.
