About the Role:
- Join us as a Power Plant Supervisor, where you'll be responsible for the safe, effective, and efficient management of power plant operations and maintenance. Reporting to the Contract Site Manager, you will oversee certified Power Plant Technicians and Bulk Fuel Technicians to ensure the uninterrupted operation of both main and standby power plants.
What You Will Bring:
- Demonstrated experience in power generation plants of 1500 KW or greater.
- Proven experience in planning, scheduling, directing, and reporting on the safe operation and maintenance of power plant activities.
- Supervisory experience in maintenance and operational requirements for each system.
- Strong working knowledge of power plant operations and equipment.
Requirements:
- Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic with appropriate certification and experience operating a diesel power plant at 1500 KW or greater. OR Industrial Electrician with appropriate journeyman certification in electrical and experience in operating a diesel generator power plant of 1500 KW or greater. OR Electrical Generating Systems Technician to a minimum supervisory qualification level with experience.
Competencies/Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient computer skills using MS Excel, MS Project, MS Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to plan, organize, schedule, and direct safe operation and maintenance activities at the site.
- Strong team building and mentoring skills.
- Excellent work ethic, professionalism, and interpersonal skills.
- $27 a day in Isolation Allowance for every day worked on site
- Fly-In Fly-Out schedule with 8x8 rotations (8 weeks on site, 8 weeks off site)
- 48-hour work weeks with overtime opportunities.
