| Position Summary: | Ignite Your Career at Villanova University! Whether undergraduate or graduate, faculty or staff, each community member brings with them a wealth of experiences that enrich our University and shift our perspectives. As a part of this community, your work will improve lives and ignite change! Why work at Villanova? Join a mission-driven organization. Since Villanova University’s founding in 1842, we have been inspired by the values of truth, unity, and love, and are a community dedicated to service to others.
Villanova University has embarked on a 10-year strategic plan, Rooted. Restless., with the goal of enhancing the Augustinian Catholic living and learning experience for all members of our community. University Advancement is seeking exceptional talent to join our mission-driven team working together toward our shared vision for Villanova, fueled by the generosity of the University’s philanthropic supporters as we “keep moving” in the spirit of St. Augustine in the public phase of Villanova’s comprehensive capital campaign: Espiritus Nova. Villanova University is organized in a semi-decentralized model, with school-based development officers supported by centralized University Advancement services. The Development Officer for the Charles Widger School of Law (CWSL) will represent Villanova University and Villanova Law, with primary responsibility for establishing and managing effective relationships with leadership annual giving prospects capable of supporting strategic priorities of the Law School. The Development Officer, CWSL, under the supervision of the Associate Dean for Development and Alumni Relations, CWSL, identifies, qualifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards alumni and friends with the capacity to make leadership-level annual gifts ($2,500 or more) and multi-year commitments. The portfolio will consist primarily of prospects rated between $25,000 and $100,000. The Development Officer is expected to conduct 12-14 prospect visits per month and manage a portfolio of 150-175 individuals, collaborating regularly with the Director of Leadership Annual Giving to ensure alignment with best practices and standards across the Development Officer team within the Villanova Annual Fund. In addition to managing a leadership annual giving portfolio, the Development Officer plays a meaningful role in growing broad-based support for Villanova Law by supporting key annual giving initiatives, including 1842 Day fundraising initiatives and events, the 3L Class Gift Program, and Veritas Society for Young Alumni Giving. Villanova is a Catholic university sponsored by the Augustinian Order. The University is an equal opportunity employer and seeks candidates who understand, respect and can contribute to the University’s mission and values. |
