About Index Exchange:Index Exchange is a global advertising supply-side platform enabling media owners to maximize the value of their content on any screen. As a trusted partner and ally, we connect leading experience makers with the world’s largest brands to ensure a quality experience for consumers.
We’re a proud industry pioneer with over 20 years of experience accelerating the ad technology evolution. With our radically transparent business practices and dedication to total market efficiency, we’re committed to upholding the integrity of the programmatic ecosystem at large.
The Opportunity:Index Exchange is looking for a Buyer Development Manager to help lead and grow strategic holding company relationships in the US. Index is financially strong, independent, and in growth mode, with modern technology and no legacy platform drag. We are investing heavily in the areas buyers care about most, including streaming, sell-side decisioning, and Marketplace innovation, while staying grounded in transparency, neutrality, and partnership. In this role, you will own day-to-day commercial relationships across one or more agency holding companies, working across operating agencies and buying teams to drive revenue growth and product adoption. You will play a key role in executing holding company strategy, building senior agency relationships, and delivering measurable commercial outcomes. This role blends commercial ownership with consultative engagement and plays a key role in shaping the buyer experience.
What we’re looking for:
  • A commercially minded buyer-facing professional with experience working across agency holding companies
  • Strong sense of ownership, comfortable managing a book of business and being accountable for results
  • Able to build and maintain relationships across programmatic, investment, and commercial stakeholders
  • Collaborative partner who can work cross-functionally with Account Management, Product, and Publisher teams
  • Confident communicator with solid programmatic and marketplace knowledge
  • Motivated to grow into broader strategic responsibility over time
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
  • Own and manage relationships across one or more agency holding companies in the US
  • Drive revenue growth and increased adoption of Index’s buyer-facing products across operating agencies and buying teams
  • Execute holding company and agency-level strategies through QBRs, activation plans, and ongoing engagement
  • Act as a consultative partner on SPO, marketplace quality, curation, data activation, and supply innovation
  • Multi-thread relationships across traders, programmatic leads, and senior agency stakeholders
  • Identify and develop new commercial opportunities within existing holding company relationships
  • Partner closely with Buyer Account Management teams to activate agency strategies, deals, and marketplace initiatives
  • Share buyer feedback and market insights internally to support Product and GTM priorities
  • Track buyer trends and performance to inform planning and account strategy
  • Represent Index in agency meetings and relevant industry forums

Here's what you need:
  • 6–9 years of experience in digital media with strong knowledge of the programmatic advertising ecosystem (SSP, DSP, exchange, PMP, agency trading desk, ad server, etc.)
  • Proven success in buyer-facing commercial or account management roles within ad tech or programmatic environments
  • Experience working with or within agency holding companies or large agency groups
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a book of business and deliver against revenue and adoption goals
  • Confidence presenting technical concepts and commercial recommendations to agency stakeholders
