Maintenance Technician

SkyMark Companies is a well established, fast growing aircraft refueling, and vacuum truck manufacturer seeking a highly motivated self-directed Maintenance Technician.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the handling and processing of post-production materials as well as housekeeping of main production aisles. Additional responsibilities include inspection, preventative maintenance and repair of facility and equipment in a manufacturing assembly environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Inspect buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunction and needed repairs making notes and recommendations.
Performs minor painting, carpentry and masonry work (e.g. preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, etc.).
Ensures 5S principles are maintained throughout main production aisles. Including, but not limited to, emptying waste bins and ensuring proper disposal of pallets, cardboard, and scrap metal.
Ensure lawn and entryways are free of trash and debris.
Operation and maintenance of floor sweeper and scrubber machines.
Move parts into position, manually or with hoists or cranes
Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

Candidate must be 18 years of age.
Minimum Education: GED or High School diploma.
Minimum Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience working with each of the trades mentioned above.
Good written and verbal communication
Must be able to plan and document work performed.
Have a working knowledge and understanding of safety requirements and practice them.
Must work with and for all departments in harmony.
Must have good time management skills.
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Must be able to climb ladders.
Must be able to show up to work on time and must be flexible to work around production schedule.

Standard office hours for this position are 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
This position is located in our Kansas City, MO location and reports to the Facilities Maintenance Manger
