Front Desk Receptionist at Precision Healthcare Specialists – Fort Myers, Florida

Precision Healthcare Specialists is seeking a professional, compassionate, and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our Urology Experts team. The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional patient experience. This individual will manage front office operations, ensure accurate patient registration, and support efficient clinic flow in a fast-paced specialty practice.

• Greet and check-in patients in a friendly, professional manner
  
• Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and referrals
  
• Answer multi-line phone system and respond to patient inquiries
  
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments
  
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
  

• Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances
  
• Scan and upload insurance cards, identification, and documentation into EMR
  
• Prepare and maintain patient charts and electronic records
  
• Process referrals and coordinate with other offices as needed
  
• Manage incoming/outgoing faxes and correspondence
  

• Maintain clean and organized front desk area
  
• Monitor daily appointment schedules and notify clinical staff of patient arrivals
  
• Assist with end-of-day reconciliation and balancing
  
• Support office workflows to ensure efficient patient throughput
  

• High school diploma or equivalent required
  
• Minimum 1 year of medical front desk or healthcare administrative experience preferred
  
• Experience in a specialty practice (Urology preferred) is a plus
  
• Familiarity with EMR systems (eClinicalWorks, Athena, or similar) preferred
  

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
  
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  
• Knowledge of insurance verification and medical terminology preferred
  
• Professional demeanor and team-oriented mindset
  

• Ability to sit for extended periods
  
• Occasional standing, bending, and lifting up to 20 pounds
