Oakline Construction Group has a current opening for a Carpenter. Based in St. Louis, MO and in business for over forty years, Oakline Construction Group specializes in the office, hospitality, and boutique industrial construction sectors. The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of commercial construction and experience with managing multiple projects concurrently.
MAJOR DUTIES INCLUDE:
MAJOR DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Construct, erect, install, or repair structures and fixtures made of steel, wood, and comparable materials, such as concrete forms.
- Building frameworks using, including partitions, joists, metal framing, and rafters.
- Skilled at installing window and door frames, and hardwood floors.
- Skilled at Install cabinets, siding, drywall, and batt or roll insulation.
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
- Assemble and fasten materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
- Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
- Assist other craft workers.
- Read plans, instructions, or specifications to determine work activities.
- Measure, mark, or record openings or distances to layout areas where construction work will be performed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to regularly lift items up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodations.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- 3+ years' practical experience required.
- Ability to be self-sufficient and self-directed.
- Well organized and follow through on all job responsibilities.
- Superior interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Outstanding record of dependability.
- Discernment for safety.
- Valid Driver's license with a clean driving record.
