JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Red Seal Industrial Electrician will be primarily responsible for ensuring manufacturing equipment are in full operations by effective troubleshooting, repairing, and installing and conducting preventative maintenance of facility electrical distribution systems and equipment. This position will be for afternoon shift.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct planned preventive maintenance and keep maintenance records through Manager Plus systemProgram, troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial equipment and automation including PLCs, HMI, temperature control and other related devicesAssist in planning and organizing of work activities (drawing interpretation, parts preparation)Participate in installation of new or upgrade of equipmentMeasure, cut, and install wiring and conduit systemsInstall and program electrical equipmentFollow electrical blueprints and schematicsTroubleshoot or replace electrical components as neededPerform preventative maintenance inspectionsFollow local, state, and national electric codesOther duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/DESIRED ATTRIBUTES

Must be a Certified Industrial Journeyman Electrician or working towards obtaining Red Seal. We are not considering residential/construction electrician skills.Minimum 3 years of experience as an Electrician in a food/beverage industrial environmentPreference will be given to those with strong mechanical aptitude and work experienceStrong skills in reading and interpretation of electrical schematics/logic drawingsKnowledge of automated systems and suppliers, eg Allen-Bradley, Siemens PLCMust be capable of lifting and stacking 50 lbs. without assistanceDemonstrated organizational skills and personal initiativeStrong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skillsExcellent documentation, communication and interpersonal skillsStrong work ethic and a proven safety record

WORKING CONDITIONS

This is a full-time position; the successful candidate should be a team player that can also work well independently with minimal supervision. The position requires a high level of maturity and mechanical skill.
