Accounts Payable Specialist at Arctic Cat – Thief River Falls, MN, Minnesota

Arctic Cat is adding an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounting team in Thief River Falls. The AP Specialist is responsible for processing and verifying invoices, ensuring timely payment of liabilities and maintaining vendor relationships, with a focus on travel and expense and invoicing. This an hourly, non-exempt position reporting to the Controller.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Ensure the timely payment of liabilities to vendors for all invoices presented
• Verify and process invoices in either SAP ERP or Concur Invoice software.
• Record invoices to ensure they match the purchase orders and receipts, avoiding duplicate or unauthorized payments, and the costs are accounted for properly through the assignment of accurate coding for the company, cost center, and account information.
• Research issues presented by internal or external parties, determining a resolution, and involvement of management as necessary.
• Weekly or ad-hoc payment of due invoices via check/ACH run or wire transfer
• Assist the Sr. Financial Analyst in the employee expense report management
• Review and approve employee expense reports to ensure alignment with the company policies.
• Follow up on missing or delinquent expense reports as needed.
• Ensure timely payment of corporate credit card charges to our provider
• Periodically run reports to research issues and analyze anomalies
• Vendor management to maintain up-to-date vendor profiles, handling contact information and resolving payment-related disputes.
• Special projects and other duties as appropriate

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

Required

• High school diploma
• 1-2 years previous experience working in an accounting function
• Technical skills, including proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle etc.
• Ability to work independently yet collaboratively
• Problem solving ability

Preferred

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar business acumen
• Experience working in an accounts payable position
