About This Position

DeCoach Recovery is a leading addiction treatment center located in Sharonville, OH, dedicated to providing compassionate care and effective solutions for individuals battling addiction. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Billing Specialist / Cycle Specialist to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the financial health of our organization by managing all aspects of the revenue cycle process.

Job Overview: As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will manage the financial lifecycle of our services by submitting claims to insurance companies, verifying patient coverage and resolving denied claims. You will ensure accurate payment reconciliation, manage patient invoices, and follow up on accounts receivable.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the billing and claims process.
  2. Submit claims electronically to Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance companies.
  3. Follow up with insurance companies regarding unpaid claims, appealing denied claims, and following up for status updates.
  4. Posting payments, reconciling remittances, and verifying that payments align with fee schedules.
  5. Answer patient queries, manage the accounts receivable process for patient accounts, and setting up payment arrangements.
  6. Adhere to HIPAA regulations, patient data confidentiality and coding guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • -Associates degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
  • - 1 year of Commercial Medical Billing Experience
  • -Proven experience (2+ years) working in healthcare revenue cycle management or medical billing.
  • -Strong knowledge of medical billing practices, including CPT and ICD-10 coding.
  • -Familiarity with insurance verification and prior authorization processes.
  • -Proficiency in using healthcare billing and accounting software
  • -Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • -Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • -Ability to communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and internal stakeholders.
  • -Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
