About This Position

Position Description:

Are you passionate about developing nursing staff and ensuring the highest quality care for individuals served? Join our team as a Nurse Educator and help shape a skilled, confident, and compassionate nursing workforce. In this role, you’ll design and deliver innovative training programs that empower nursing staff to meet the complex behavioral health, substance use, and chronic medical needs of the individuals we serve.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop, review, and implement training programs to ensure nursing staff provide competent, high-quality care to individuals served.
  • Plan and coordinate individualized orientation programs for nursing and direct care employees.
  • Participate in site-wide employee orientation and ongoing education initiatives.
  • Assess and document nursing competencies during orientation, implementation of new procedures, and annually.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for nursing staff on best practices and care standards.
  • Collaborate with nursing management to maintain compliance with Joint Commission (TJC), state, federal, and local regulations.
  • Support performance improvement initiatives by monitoring the impact of education on quality of care for individuals served.
  • Stay current on trends in nursing and behavioral health through professional development, literature, and conferences.
  • What We’re Looking For

    Education

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program (required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred)
  • Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, preferably in behavioral health or related settings (required)
  • Licenses/Certifications

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment or multi-state compact license recognized in the state (required)
