The Culinary Cook in the Health Care and Social Assistance industry plays a vital role in preparing nutritious, safe, and appealing meals tailored to the dietary needs of patients, residents, or clients. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a culinary or food preparation role, preferably in a healthcare or institutional setting.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (e.g., ServSafe certification or equivalent).
• Ability to follow detailed recipes and dietary instructions accurately.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Formal culinary training or certification.
• Experience working with specialized diets such as diabetic, low-sodium, or allergen-free menus.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations related to food service.
