Job Summary

The nurse tech is a temporary position for nursing students to practice hands-on clinical experiences. The nurse tech is co-assigned with a Registered Nurse (RN) and may perform direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision.

Education

• Nurse Tech I
  • Required
    • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
    • Enrollment in an accredited nursing program
• Nurse Tech II
  • Required
    • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
    • Enrollment in an accredited nursing program
    • Completion of Level I Competency

Experience: N/A

Certification/Licensure:

• Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Preferred
  • Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)
