About This Position



Position Summary:

The Cybersecurity manager has two core functions. First, management and oversight over the use of the organization’s security solutions and security stack. Second, oversight of the entire security architecture driven by procedure and policy. Secondary tasks will include selecting, demoing, and the testing of new security solutions. Oversight of vulnerabilities and managing resources to resolve security related issues.


Essential Functions:

Design and maintain the organization’s security architecture. Assist with the organization’s security awareness training. Create and maintain the organization’s security related procedures, policies, baselines, and guidelines. Direct vulnerability and patching efforts for systems and software. Direct and maintain log management efforts through a SIEM. Provide technical support and work with security solution vendors. Diagnose and troubleshoot security issues. Propose, design, support, and maintain security solutions that improve security posture based on regulatory guidance. Oversee the deployment, integration, and configuration of all security solutions. Document critical security processes and resources to aid in supporting security needs. Assist with PCI standards and requirements for compliance. Joint Information Security Committee, JISC, member. As a member of JISC, provide guidance and insight to aid with security matters. Provide documentation and reports that demonstrate oversight and the efficiency of security solutions. Recommend replacement of security solutions.


Education:

High School Diploma, College Diploma, or related experience preferred.

Knowledge & Experience:

Excellent technical knowledge of network, hardware, and security software. Experience in organizational security architecture design and document creation. Working technical knowledge of IP, TCIP/IP, other network protocols, operating systems, industry standards and best practices. Project and vulnerability management. Understanding of SSL Certificates.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday 8:30 - 5:00 and as needed Hours may be adjusted for incident monitoring.



Working Conditions:


Sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Travel required as neededLifting and transporting moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals, up to 70 lbs. 40-hour work week. Flexible lunch hour and breaks. On-call availability 24/7/365 or as needed.
