Job Description: Mortgage Loan Processor

Department: Loans

Status: Full time

Description: This position processes real estate loans, assists loan staff, prepares, and closes loans. It requires excellent customer service skills, advanced computer skills, and the ability to multi-task with close attention to detail. Previous commercial loan and/or real estate experience preferred. Knowledge of secondary market loans and prior project management experience are a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist loan officers
  • Prepare all loan documents
  • Order and review collateral documents
  • Process credit reports and review findings
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and City National Bank policies and procedures
  • Communicate with internal and external customers via telephone to; collect loan references and other verifiable information as well as assist with any questions
  • Prepare and close loans in a timely manner
  • Explain terms and conditions of loans
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    • Qualifications:

  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Intermediate to advanced calculation skills
  • Clear communication skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to work with deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong multi-tasking & organizational skills
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail skills, along with ability to maintain confidentiality

    • Education and Experience:

  • Previous mortgage or commercial loan experience preferred; secondary market experience a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 2 years college and/or prior banking experience preferred

  • Constant use of computer screens
