Job Title: Toddler/Early Preschool Lead Teacher (2-3 years)

Location: Berlin Education Station, 10008 Old Ocean City Blvd. Berlin, MD

We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for all children. We are currently seeking passionate and qualified early childhood educators to join our team.

Job Description: We are looking for a professional early childhood educator to fill an opening for our Toddler Lead Teacher. The ideal candidate will have a passion for instilling values in young children, possess high energy, and be able to handle the demands of infants and toddlers with different personalities and needs.

Responsibilities:

• Guide toddlers through developmental stages.
• Respond to each child’s needs efficiently and thoughtfully.
• Display a patient and calm personality with a loving approach to every child.
• Contribute positively to the behavior and social interaction of the children.
• Build secure relationships with the children.
• Work closely with management to ensure adherence to guidelines.
• Report accidents, illnesses, and unusual behavior to the Director and parents.
• Maintain close communication with parents throughout the day as needed.
• Protect the safety of all children in the center.
• Supervise children directly at all times.
• Use positive phrasing with children.
• Exhibit behavior management consistent with Berlin Education Station philosophy.
• Co-play and interact with children during play activities both indoors and on the playground.
• Treat each child with dignity and respect, recognizing the cultural and socio-economic diversity of the population.
• Respond to the individual needs and learning styles of children.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to children in distress.
• Meet with parents to discuss the goals and needs of students in their program.
• Coordinate with administration to create education plans for the students.
• Track the developmental milestones of students for signs of progress.

Requirements:

• Experience teaching two-year-olds!
• Associates or bachelor's degree in early childhood development
• Previous work experience in a toddler preschool setting (at least 2 years)
• Basic Health and Safety Training
• ADA (The Americans with Disabilities Act) Training Course
• 9 hours Communications Course
• 45 hours in Early Childhood Preschool Curriculum OR College Transcripts
• 45 hours in Early Childhood Preschool Development OR College Transcripts
