About This Position
JOB SUMMARY
The Talent Advisor oversees the full recruitment lifecycle in a complex, highly competitive niche healthcare, academic and research environment. This will include conducting hiring manager consultations, designing innovative sourcing strategies, vetting and selecting candidates, negotiating offers, and facilitating a smooth transition to onboarding new Moffitt team members—all while ensuring an exceptional experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
The Talent Advisor will serve as a Moffitt brand evangelist and will leverage proactive and multipronged sourcing strategies to include, but not limited to: online job boards, job fairs, industry and community events & partnerships with universities and colleges to develop targeted internal and external candidate streams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Full Life-cycle Recruitment Management: Design and implement customized recruitment strategies taking into consideration current market state and fluctuations to fill critical positions.
• Compliance Oversight: Interpret and apply federal, state, and local employment laws(e.g., FLSA, EEOC), as well as healthcare-specific regulations (e.g., HIPAA, Joint Commission)
• Independent Decision-Making: Assess complex hiring scenarios, providing sound recommendations and solutions with limited direct supervision.
• Risk Mitigation: Analyze hiring practices to identify and address potential compliance gaps, safeguarding Moffitt Cancer Center from legal or regulatory exposure.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as a strong partner to hiring managers, team member relations, strategic workforce managers, compensation, legal, onboarding and other key partners.
• Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Tackle unique recruitment challenges with innovative solutions.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain meticulous records of recruitment activities to support internal audits.
What You Bring:
- Working knowledge of recruiting principles, candidate screening, and behavioral-based interviewing.
- Demonstrated proactive approach to sourcing and market research.
- Experience building strategic partnerships across all organizational levels with minimal supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously and prioritize and re-prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal HR regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with applicant tracking and HRIS systems (Workday preferred).
- Proven track record or exposure in healthcare or Lab recruitment is strongly preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree AND a minimum of five (5) years business experience with two (2) of those years in a full cycle recruiting role.

Associate's Degree AND a minimum of seven (7) years business experience with three (3) of those years in a full cycle recruiting role, will be accepted.
