Posterity Group LLC is a veteran owned, service-disabled small business, headquartered in Rockville, MD, that specializes in federal government contracting and staffing. We are tasked with staffing The VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System with Electroencephalography (EEG) Technicians. The EEG Technicians are expected to perform the following:
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with standard hours of M-F 0700 to 1530 or 0730-1600
- Independently performs routine and non-standard procedures. (EEG and EP). These include Awake, Sleep, Portable, and ECS.
- Independently perform routine and specialized procedures.
- Independently perform routine long-term monitoring, LTM/CCTV – EEG monitoring. These include extended 10/20 electrode placement.
- Performs as expert EEG technologist, maintaining state of the art quality in the principles, practices and procedures associated with Electroencephalography.
- Consistently performs high quality studies for complex and non-routine procedures in difficult and demanding environments such as the operating room, research or intensive care environments.
- All testing performed requires on-line analysis by the technologist to obtain the necessary data for correct diagnosis of the patient.
- In all procedures, work closely with the physicians from Neurology Service and the Epilepsy Center of Excellence.
- Follows established laboratory and/or hospital guidelines in completing “administrative duties” for each test performed.
- Partly responsible for inventory of laboratory supplies.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience
- Shall have a full, current and unrestricted license in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia) when services are performed onsite on VA property
- Certified by the American Board of Registration of EEG, CNIM and EP Technologists (ABRET) or the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Techs (AAET).
- Valid BLS
