About This Position
accessAbilities, a local Human Services agency, is immediately hiring caring and enthusiastic, part-time staff to assist individuals with In Home Caregiver services in the Greensburg, Delmont, and Jeannette, PA areas for our Home & Community services program.
In Home Caregivers (also known as Attendants) support participants with household duties and personal care services. Staff assist with laundry, housekeeping, shopping and preparing meals, and help with errands. Duties also include transfers from/to bed, bathing, dressing, grooming and assisting with personal support equipment such as wheelchairs, manual/electric lifts, and leg braces, etc.
We also support individuals who have special needs or intellectual and developmental disabilities. These Caregivers can provide companionship to individuals while also helping them with household chores, shopping, attending medical appointments, going out to eat or to a movie, etc. Employees of accessAbilities work to assist the special needs clients with maintaining or improving their skills that allow them to live and participate in the local community.
We offer Flexible Part-time Hours and Shifts. Work when you are available. Hours can be as little as 4 per week up to 28 per week. You decide.
No experience is necessary. Paid training is provided. Prior experience as a direct care worker or home health aide is helpful, but not required.
Caregiver Position Requirements:
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 40 lbs. without assistance and up to 200 lbs. with assistance (hoyer lift)
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
• Ability to obtain ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances required.
