As a Senior Account Manager, you will serve as a strategic leader and trusted advisor to high-value clients, overseeing complex logistics projects while driving account growth and profitability. This role combines senior-level client relationship management, commercial leadership, and operational oversight. You will play a critical role in expanding key accounts, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to broader business strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Client Leadership
- Serve as the senior point of contact for key and high-value client accounts.
- Build and maintain long-term partnerships, acting as a trusted advisor on logistics strategy.
- Develop deep understanding of client objectives to proactively identify opportunities for growth and enhanced service delivery.
- Lead high-level client meetings, presentations, and business reviews.
Revenue Growth & Account Development
- Own and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts, driving revenue expansion and profitability.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities across service lines.
- Contribute to new business development through networking, referrals, and industry engagement.
- Support leadership in developing pricing strategies and market positioning.
Project & Operational Oversight
- Oversee the successful execution of complex domestic and international logistics projects from inception to completion.
- Ensure projects meet or exceed expectations in terms of timelines, budgets, and service quality.
- Act as escalation point for complex operational challenges and client issues.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery across all service areas.
Financial Ownership & Performance Management
- Take full ownership of account financials, including quoting, billing, cost control, and margin optimization.
- Monitor and manage project profitability, making strategic adjustments as needed.
- Achieve and exceed individual and team revenue targets (increased expectations aligned to seniority).
- Provide forecasting, reporting, and insights to senior leadership.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Oversee and ensure accuracy of all compliance and regulatory documentation (CITES, NOAA, U.S. Fish & Wildlife, etc.).
- Act as a subject matter expert on international shipping regulations and risk mitigation.
- Ensure all client deliverables meet legal, insurance, and company standards.
Leadership & Team Development
- Mentor and guide Account Managers and junior team members.
- Share best practices and contribute to team capability building.
- Provide leadership on complex accounts and support team members in resolving challenges.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with senior leadership (VPs, Directors, General Manager) on key accounts and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with global offices to ensure consistent service excellence.
- Influence internal processes to improve efficiency and client outcomes.
Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
- Champion Cadogan Tate’s service standards and brand values.
- Analyze client feedback and implement improvements.
- Lead post-project reviews to drive operational excellence and innovation.
General Responsibilities
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and Health & Safety regulations.
- Act at all times in the best interests of Cadogan Tate and its clients.
- Represent the company as a senior ambassador in all professional interactions.
SKills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 7–10+ years of account management experience within fine art logistics, auction houses, design, or luxury services.
- Proven success in managing large, complex, and high-revenue client portfolios.
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated experience driving revenue growth and margin improvement.
- Advanced knowledge of logistics operations, import/export compliance, and pricing strategy.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Experience mentoring or managing junior team members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HubSpot and Moveware is advantageous. (training will be provided)
