The Position
The following is a summary of duties:
Ensures daily compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti Money Laundering Rules (BSA/AML), including Foreign Assets Control Regulations (OFAC), and the USA Patriot Act.
Assesses real estate appraisals for quality and adherence to Credit Union policies and regulatory requirements.

Ensures that the Credit Unions policies and procedures comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
Ensures that Credit Union documents, publications, programs, advertisements, and website comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Participates in new product and service development to ensure compliance requirements are met.
Maintains a thorough knowledge of the government regulations applicable to Credit Unions with a particular emphasis on the Bank Secrecy Act, Foreign Assets Control Regulations (OFAC), and the USA Patriot Act.
Assists with the development and administration of compliance training for employees.
Monitors the compliance activities of departments within the areas of regulatory responsibility and identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk. Conducts research of regulatory matters and reports concerns, deficiencies, and overall compliance conditions within the Credit Union to the Board of Directors and senior management.
Manages the Credit Unions third-party vendor management program and ensures the program complies with laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
Ensures optimal performance of staff by effectively supervising and leading personnel.
Work Schedule & Branch
This job is open at our Perry Hall branch located in Baltimore, Maryland.
This is not a hybrid or remote position; on-site attendance is required.
This is a Full-time position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week.
The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Duties are performed in a professional office environment. Responsibilities may occasionally require an adjusted work schedule, working from a different branch, working before and/or after business hours, working on Saturdays and working hours exceeding the standard work schedule.
Qualifications
Minimum Required Education: This position requires a diploma from a public or accredited private high school. A high school equivalency diploma (GED) may be substituted for the required education.
Minimum Required Experience: This position requires two years of experience in the financial services industry. Experience in compliance, audit, risk management, or a related field is preferred. Financial institution compliance certification credentials are preferred.
Other Requirements:
Exceptional technical writing skills with the ability to write clear policies and procedures.
Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements as they apply to all areas of the Credit Union.
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
Proficient use of personal computers, internet applications, e-mail, and various Windows-based software applications including word processing.
Proficient use of standard office equipment including but not limited to fax machine, photocopier, telephone, and 10-key adding machine.
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with others; demonstrate courtesy, empathy, and politeness.
Ability to meet member needs, build productive member relationships, and take responsibility for member satisfaction.
A credit check and criminal background check are required.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Salary Range
The salary range for this position is a minimum of $71,600, a midpoint of $89,500, and a maximum of $107,400 per year. The final compensation offer is determined by an applicants relevant experience, qualifications, and our commitment to internal equity. While there are always exceptions, applicants are typically offered a rate in the lower part of this range, below the midpoint. We review compensation data on a regular basis to ensure market competitiveness and equity; accordingly, the hiring range for this position has been carefully crafted to align with the market.
