About This Position

Description:

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Front Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact at our gymnastics training facility. This role is essential in creating a positive, welcoming environment for athletes, families, and visitors. The ideal candidate will manage front desk operations, provide excellent customer service, support administrative needs, and help maintain smooth daily operations. The hours for this position are 5-6 days/week with open availability for scheduling.

Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Front Desk Support
  • Greet athletes, parents, and visitors with a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to emails, text inquiries, and voicemails in a timely manner.
  • Provide information about classes, schedules, tuition, events, and facility policies.
  • Check in athletes for classes and manage daily attendance.
Administrative Duties
  • Process class registrations, tuition payments, and merchandise sales.
  • Maintain accurate records in the facility’s management software (e.g., Jackrabbit, iClassPro, or equivalent).
  • Assist with managing waitlists, class changes, and account updates.
  • Prepare and distribute forms, waivers, and informational materials.
  • Support coaches and staff with administrative tasks as needed.
Facility Operations
  • Keep the front desk and lobby area tidy, organized, and presentable.
  • Monitor the flow of athletes and parents to ensure safety and smooth transitions between classes.
  • Assist with lost-and-found, retail displays, and general reception area upkeep.
  • Enforce facility rules and communicate important reminders to families.
Communication & Coordination
  • Communicate schedule updates, announcements, and policy information to families.
  • Coordinate with coaching staff regarding athlete arrivals, parent questions, and class logistics.
  • Support special events such as camps, open gyms, meets, and showcases.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in customer service, reception, or office administration preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with children and families.
  • Comfortable using scheduling or customer management software.
  • Basic cash-handling and point-of-sale experience a plus.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude are essential.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, and move around a busy facility for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in an energetic environment with children, parents, and coaches.
  • Occasional evening or weekend availability for events or high-traffic days.
