About Grit Companies
Grit Companies is a fast-growing platform supporting both national D2D teams and pest control operations. Our D2D arm, Grit Marketing, operates one of the largest door-to-door sales forces in the world. Our pest control brand, Mira Home, serves thousands of homeowners across multiple markets. Underpinning both is a technology stack we've built and continue to invest in — from CRM and call center infrastructure to rep recruiting pipelines and customer communication tools.
We're now building the next layer: customer-facing software that homeowners actually want to use, and rep-facing tools that make our teams faster and more effective. This is a greenfield opportunity on a small team where your work ships to real users quickly.
The Role
This is a full-stack role. You'll own features end-to-end — from data model to API to UI — and work closely with operations, sales leadership, and the lead engineer to define what gets built and why. You won't be handed tickets. You'll be part of the conversation.
Your focus is customer-facing applications and rep-facing tooling: the products our homeowners and field team interact with directly, and the integrations that connect them to our operations stack.
What We're Looking For
You should have:
- 1–3 years of experience building and shipping production apps
- Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript
- Backend experience — building APIs, working with databases, handling integrations
- Comfort working across the full stack: you can take a feature from design to deployment
- Experience consuming and integrating third-party REST APIs
- Clear written and verbal communication — you can explain what you built and why
You'll hit the ground running if you also have:
- React Native or mobile development experience (this will come up quickly)
- Experience building AI-powered features into production software — LLM integrations, intelligent automation, or AI-assisted workflows
- Salesforce platform familiarity (Apex, SOQL, or even just working with the Salesforce API)
- Experience at a small company or startup wearing multiple hats
- Familiarity with field services, home services, or D2D sales (not required — just context that helps)
You're probably a good fit if you:
- Like finishing things — you care about shipping, not just building
- Are comfortable with ambiguity and can turn a rough brief into a working feature
- Ask good questions before writing code
- Want to grow into owning a product area, not just executing tickets
- Like working in person with a small team
- Competitive Compensation: A competitive salary range with performance-based incentives to reward excellence.
- Comprehensive Benefits Package: Inclusive of health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, with 401(k) matching to support your long-term financial goals.
- Paid Time Off: Generous PTO policy to promote work-life balance and rejuvenation.
- Professional Development: Access to opportunities for career advancement, leadership development, and professional growth within a fast-paced, high-growth, and thriving organization.
- Supportive Work Environment: A collaborative and inclusive culture that values innovation, teamwork, results, and shared success. Located at our HQ building with a full gym, basketball / pickleball court, sauna, cold plunge, pool table, ping pong table, indoor mini golf, video game setup, and kitchen stacked 24/7 with drinks and snacks.
