LISA MANAGEMENT INC.

JOB TITLE: Director of Affordable Compliance

LOCATION: 494 Eighth Avenue

POSITION: Full time

FLSA STATUS: Exempt – Not Eligible for overtime

HOURS OF OPERATION: 9am to 6pm, with an unpaid-hour meal break


SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

The Director of Affordable Compliance oversees and is responsible for achieving the maximum rent and occupancy levels across the affordable portfolio.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee the activities under affordable renewal det
Generates marketing plan for all new developments.
Generate weekly and monthly status reports for all new developments.Prioritizes lease-up requirements for new development.Works closely with VP to create and implement standard operating procedures (SOP) for the leasing department.Partners with VP to identify and implement best practices in accordance with the affordable housing industry standard.Creates websites for new developments.Communicates directly with governing agencies to ensure compliance with regulatory agreement.Regularly updates the department with new and revised state and city marketing guidelines.Partners with the Yardi team to onboard new developments.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.Perform general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, copying, and scheduling.Operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, telephone, printer, scanner).Sit or stand for extended periods; occasionally lift or carry materials up to 20 pounds.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

This job operates in a professional office environment. Must be proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite7+ years of experience in affordable housing, leasing, or compliance (LIHTC, Section 8, HOME, etc.)Familiarity with NYC housing programs and agencies (e.g., HPD, HDC, NYCHA, HRA, HPS)Working knowledge of fair housing laws, income eligibility guidelines, and rent calculation methodsProficiency in property management and compliance software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage, MRI, Boston Post)Must have a LITHC certificationMust have working knowledge of NYC Housing ConnectMust be knowledgeable of Rent Stabilization regulationMust have thorough understanding of HPD Section 8, NYCHA Section 8, NYC FHEPS, HRA, TBRA, Project Based Voucher (PBV), and SOTA (Rental Assistance) subsidy programs.Strong interpersonal skills with ability to maintain professionalism in sensitive or high-pressure situationsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized with exceptional attention to detail and accuracyAbility to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently and as part of a teamBilingual in English and Spanish (or other languages) is a plusCommitment to providing respectful, equitable, and inclusive service to diverse populations
