We are a lively and dynamic architecture office located five blocks from the beach in beautiful downtown Santa Barbara, California. About the role:

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our Design team as a key contributor to the Interior Arm of our company. This role is a liaison between the design and construction team, vendors, and clients providing critical structure to team’s daily workflow. This role ensures cost efficiency, quality control, and timely procurement aligned with project schedules and design intent. The Procurement Specialist works closely with project managers, designers, consultants, and vendors to streamline procurement processes and maintain strong supplier relationships.

This is a full-time onsite position based in our Santa Barbara, CA, offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strong knowledge of FF&E procurement processes
  • Collaborate and negotiate with external vendors, contractors and suppliers to source furniture, fixtures and materials that align with client expectations and budget.
  • Understanding of contracts, lead times, and logistics coordination.
  • Working knowledge of construction detailing.
  • Strong project management experience and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail for managing specifications and documentation. Understanding of design trends.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Interior design, AEC, or business management degree preferred but not required.
  • Experience in construction or FF&E purchasing.
  • Minimum 5-10 years in high end design procurement.
  • Experience with StudioDesigner required.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam Studio and Microsoft suite
  • Excellent visual and verbal communication skills to effectively present ideas and collaborate with team members and clients.

Travel Time Required
