Maintenance Technician (Temp to Hire Opportunity)

We're hiring an experienced Maintenance Technician for a long-term temporary role with strong potential to go permanent (estimated 6+ months). This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working hands-on, and keeping production running smoothly.

Pay: $21-$29/hr (DOE)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:30 AM - 2:30 PM
Location: Hendersonville, NC

This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and packaging equipment to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met.

Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems
• Work with motors, pumps, HMIs, PLCs, and control systems
• Perform preventative maintenance and equipment upgrades
• Support production with setups, adjustments, and changeovers
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate issues
• Assist with equipment rebuilds and improvement projects
• Train operators on equipment use as needed
• Follow all safety, GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or vocational training required
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience
• Food manufacturing experience preferred
• Strong ability to read schematics, manuals, and diagrams
• Solid troubleshooting and decision-making skills
• Experience working with electrical systems up to 480V

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs frequently (100 lbs occasionally)
• Frequent bending, climbing, reaching, and standing
• Comfortable working at heights (up to 50 ft with PPE)
• Able to work in varying temperatures and environments
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, industrial setting
