Overnight Concierge (Casual Position)
Location: Surrey, BC
Pay: $19.78/hour
Shift: Overnight | 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Position Type: Casual to start

We are looking for a reliable, professional, and compassionate Overnight Concierge to join our team at a retirement residence in Surrey, BC. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently overnight while helping maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents.

• Conduct overnight security rounds throughout the building

• Monitor security cameras and report unusual activity

• Ensure all entrance and exit doors are secure

• Respond to resident concerns, incidents, and emergencies

• Answer phones and provide overnight assistance to residents

• Maintain a calm, quiet, and secure environment

• Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces and common areas

• Sweep and sanitize hallways, lobby, gym, elevators, and common spaces

• Clean elevators and entrance/exit tracks

• Restock common area bathrooms

• Remove garbage and recycling from designated areas

• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the residence

• Prepare common areas for the day shift

• Open blinds, turn on lights, TVs, and fireplaces

• Set up the bistro and breakfast area

• Prepare coffee and organize breakfast items

• Ensure all areas are clean, tidy, and welcoming for residents

• Complete incident reports and overnight documentation

• Perform pendant system checks

• Send shift summary emails to leadership

• Provide smooth handover to morning staff

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently and stay organized overnight

• Comfortable responding to emergencies and incidents calmly

• Cleaning or concierge experience considered an asset

• Experience working with seniors is an asset

• Must be dependable, observant, and professional
