Keches Law Group, P.C. is a well-established, 50+ attorney law firm with offices in Milton, Bridgewater, and Worcester, practicing in workers’ compensation, personal injury, and medical malpractice.
Keches Law Group is seeking a Pre-Litigation Case Specialist to support the progression of personal injury and workers’ compensation cases from intake through demand and resolution.
This role blends legal case support, medical coordination, and pre-litigation claim development. You will serve as a primary point of coordination across clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and attorneys—ensuring that cases are progressing efficiently, documentation is complete, and clients are supported throughout the process.
This is a highly client-facing, operational role with ownership over a caseload and responsibility for helping move cases toward successful resolution.
Key Responsibilities
Case Management & Progression
- Manage a caseload of pre-litigation matters from intake through demand and resolution
- Proactively drive case progression by identifying next steps and removing delays
- Ensure cases are moving efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency
- Monitor treatment progress, documentation status, and case readiness throughout the lifecycle of the claim
Medical Documentation & Case Development
- Monitor treatment status and medical documentation to support claim progression and demand readiness
- Work closely with Medical Care Coordinators to ensure records, bills, and treatment updates are obtained timely
- Evaluate treatment progression and outstanding documentation as part of overall case development and settlement strategy
- Ensure medical information is properly organized and incorporated into demands, negotiations, and case evaluation
Documentation & Case Development
- Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date case files
- Draft demand letters, case summaries, and supporting documentation
- Compile and review medical records, bills, wage information, and other key materials
- Ensure case documentation is complete and organized to support negotiation and resolution efforts
Negotiation & Resolution Support
- Participate in pre-litigation settlement negotiations and communications with insurance carriers and third parties
- Assist in evaluating case progression, treatment status, and damages to support settlement strategy
- Prepare demand-related documentation, treatment summaries, and supporting materials for negotiation
- Maintain consistent communication with adjusters regarding outstanding records, offers, and claim developments
- Partner with attorneys and leadership to help drive cases toward timely and favorable resolution
Client Communication
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the case process
- Provide updates, set expectations, and guide clients through the progression of their claim
- Assist with insurance questions, billing issues, and general support needs
- Deliver a high level of client service and responsiveness throughout the lifecycle of the case
Attorney & Team Collaboration
- Partner closely with attorneys to support case strategy and development
- Assist with litigation preparation as needed, including file organization and deadline tracking
- Collaborate with Medical Care Coordinators and other team members to ensure seamless case handling and progression
Systems & Tracking
- Utilize Litify to manage case activity and maintain records
- Ensure timely and accurate updates across all systems
- Track key milestones and maintain visibility into case status and progression
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in personal injury and/or workers’ compensation case management, claims, paralegal, or related legal support work
- Strong understanding of pre-litigation workflows, medical treatment coordination, and settlement processes
- Experience working with medical records, treatment coordination, and demand preparation
- Familiarity with insurance claims handling and negotiation processes preferred
- Proficiency with case management systems such as Litify
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client service skills
Schedule
- On-site position
- Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Full-time
- After the training period, one work-from-home day per week can be scheduled
The anticipated salary range for this position, which we in good faith expect to pay at the time of posting, is $68,000-$90,000 annually. This range allows us to make an offer that reflects multiple factors, including experience, education, qualifications, and job-related knowledge and skills, as well as internal pay equity. It’s not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, as we strive to provide room for future and continued salary growth. Base pay is just one component of our Total Rewards package, which may also include discretionary bonuses, commissions, or other incentives depending on the role.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment, including computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
