Job Description
Job Summary
Under minimal supervision, performs as well as maintains moderately complex preventative and corrective building systems. This includes but is not limited to mechanical equipment repair and maintenance, refrigeration equipment maintenance, industrial equipment maintenance & operation, general knowledge of electrical and mechanical system operation. Understands general building construction.

Physical Requirements

Working Conditions
Primarily Works in a well-lighted and air-conditioned environment with period of heavy workload and stress. This role may include working in less-than-ideal home conditions, which can include exposure to extreme temperatures and environments that may not meet typical cleanliness standards such as clutter, unkept surfaces, and homes with pets. Works in various conditions.

Confidentiality: Adheres to established policies on privacy and security requirements for compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), as applicable by Shannon Policy.
Performance: Position Specific Essential Functions
- Performs preventive and corrective maintenance work of average difficulty including painting, electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, HVAC, and furniture repair.
- Troubleshoots and repairs moderate equipment malfunctions in three of the following six areas: plants operations, refrigeration’s systems, electrical systems, plumbing systems, HVAC system, and building maintenance.
- Increases technical and personal skills through formal maintenance shop training, team training, one on one sessions, off site technical trainings, self-study programs and other staff education as appropriate.
- Accurately and neatly prepares and maintains department records and files; prepares reports as assigned.
- Communicates in a positive and service orientated manner; works effectively with others; encourages teamwork and good customer relations.
- Participates in team activities such as planning, goal setting and coordination of assignments.
- Adheres to hospital, departmental, safety, infection control and other appropriate policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
- Preferred
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Completion of Vocational School in a maintenance related field
Experience:
- Required
- Five years of experience in Building Maintenance, Plant Operation, Construction, or related
- Five years of Technical Education related to maintenance
Certification/Licensure:
- Required
- Valid State Issued Driver's License
- Preferred
- Electrical, Plumbing, Air Conditioning License
