Job Description
(Remote / Hybrid – Commercial Tenant Improvements)
We are seeking an experienced Interior Architect / Interior Designer with a strong commercial tenant improvement (TI) background to support ongoing commercial projects. This position is ideal for a highly skilled, detail-oriented professional who can independently produce construction documents, coordinate with consultants, and assist with project execution from field verification through permitting and construction.
This is primarily a remote position with occasional daytime site meetings and in-office coordination as needed.

Responsibilities
• Produce complete Construction Document (CD) packages for commercial tenant improvement projects
• Develop floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, details, and finish plans
• Perform field measurements and existing conditions verification
• Coordinate drawings with MEP, structural, and other consultants
• Assist with permitting and plan check corrections
• Coordinate with contractors and respond to RFIs as needed
• Attend project meetings, site visits, and coordination meetings during standard business hours
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable building codes and ADA requirements
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines independently
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in commercial architecture or interior design
• Expert proficiency in AutoCAD 2022 or newer
• Strong experience producing complete commercial TI construction document sets
• Extensive field measuring and site verification experience
• Commercial project experience in office, retail, hospitality, medical, or similar environments
• Strong understanding of construction detailing and commercial building systems
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Working knowledge of Revit
• Experience coordinating with consultants and permitting agencies
• Knowledge of California building codes and ADA compliance
• Experience with Bluebeam, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
• NCIDQ certification or architectural licensure is a plus
Work Requirements
• Must be available for site meetings and coordination during standard business hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Candidate should be located within reasonable driving distance for occasional project site visits and meetings
Compensation
• Competitive hourly compensation based on experience
• Typical range: $45–$75 per hour
