HVAC Service Manager Lead Service Operations and Technical Teams Across Central NJ
Job OverviewCompany: Pezz Heating & Cooling.
Salary/Pay Rate: $40 to $45+ per hour (Based on experience) plus Profit Sharing.
Location: Hillsborough, NJ (Service Area: Central New Jersey).
Job/Employment Type: Full Time.
Schedule: Monday - Friday (Overtime as needed).
Project Scope: Residential and Light Commercial.
Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: EPA Certification and Valid Driver's License.
You will serve as the premier technical leader for Pezz Heating & Cooling, overseeing daily service operations and installation quality. This role empowers you to mentor a high-performing team of technicians while maintaining a hands-on presence in the field. You will have the autonomy to drive operational excellence and the support of a company that prioritizes professional growth and integrity.
How You Will Make an ImpactDirect daily service and installation operations to ensure high-quality project delivery.
Mentor and develop field technicians through hands-on training and performance monitoring.
Execute advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting on complex heating and cooling systems.
Resolve escalated technical issues and customer concerns to maintain elite satisfaction levels.
Enforce strict safety protocols and code compliance across all residential and commercial sites.
Coordinate with dispatch to optimize workflows and maintain strict project timelines.
Audit completed installations and repairs to ensure they meet company craftsmanship standards.
Minimum of 8 years of HVAC service and installation experience.
Proven leadership experience managing or mentoring technical teams in the field.
Expert-level proficiency with furnaces, AC systems, heat pumps, and RTUs.
Strong communication skills necessary for managing team dynamics and customer relations.
Ability to perform advanced mechanical troubleshooting with minimal oversight.
Demonstrated experience in developing formal apprenticeship or mentorship programs.
Advanced knowledge of hydronic boilers and specialized mini-split installations.
Documented success in operational leadership and workflow optimization.
