About This Position
Job Summary:
Responsible for performing varying tasks at the job location they are overseeing. An operations Supervisor will adhere to safety regulations and maintain high standards of efficiency and productivity in their work. This is a crucial role that contributes to the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse or distribution center. Responsibilities may differ from job description depending on the location of the assignment.
Position Details:
-Forklift experience required- sit down/ reach/ pacer
-Monday-Friday with OT and weekends as needed
-2nd shift 3:00pm-11:30pm
-Pay $20.00-$23.00 an hour
- Location / worksite requires attention to detail, site is very fast paced!
-Must submit resume and interview with the Ops Manager
Responsibilities:
-Ability to maintain adequate employees, equipment and supplies for the scheduled hours of operation at each location.
-Upholding company policies as well as holding employees to company policy standards.
-Monitors the overall performance of employees.
-Undertaking and arranging the organization, staffing and operational activities for designated warehouses.
-Directing staff as well as reviewing their assigned work plan.
-Participating in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, and priorities of the organization
-Maintaining clear and professional communication with vendors.
-Must be able to identify problem areas and propose ways to improve.
-Will be training and coaching employees. Staff can be between 10-20 employees.
-Ability to identify employees strong/weak skills in terms of efficiency.
-Plan and arrange logistics required shipments.
-Maintain accurate records of product inventory, unloaded/loaded container count, damaged inventory.
-Observe client needs/patterns and manage inventory based on these needs.
-Manage the loading of trucks, setting up delivery routes and unloading of materials.
-Perform daily audit on all received freight.
-Ensuring container quotas are met daily. Load 5-10 containers daily, unload 10-20 containers daily.
-Follow company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and quality control.
-Collaborate with warehouse team members and management to ensure efficient workflow and prioritize tasks.
-Must be able to report to different warehouse locations if and when needed.
-Other tasks assigned.
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or GED equivalency
-1- 3 years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
-Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
-Excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception.
-Physical stamina and strength to perform the required duties, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
-Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
-Excellent organizational and analytical skills
-Strong leadership ability
-Strong teambuilding and employee development skills.
-Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
-Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime, as needed.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
-Ability to work/collaborate in team(s).
-Excellent time management skills.
-Able and willing to work in a different warehouse location if and when needed.
-Reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:
-Ability to lift and carry heavy objects weighing up to 80 pounds on a regular basis.
-Physical stamina and endurance to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
-Comfortable working in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and humidity, if necessary.
-Ability to hear and understand audible signals and instructions in a noisy environment.
-Good vision, including depth perception and peripheral vision, to safely maneuver the forklift and navigate through the facility.
-Exposure to loud noises and vibration.
-Clear verbal and nonverbal communication abilities to follow instructions, collaborate with team members, and report any safety concerns promptly.
-Ability to maneuver within confined spaces, climb ladders, work on elevated platforms, and maintain balance while walking on uneven surfaces.
-Manual Dexterity for safely handling, manipulating, and controlling various sizes of items, packages, and machinery.
