Tire Technician at Walpole, Inc. – Tampa, Florida

Walpole, Inc.’s Tampa Terminal needs a semi fleet/heavy duty Tire Technician. This position will repair and replace tires and must be able to identify irregular wear on tires.

Minimum Requirements:

• Requires at least one (1) year semi fleet and/or heavy-duty tire experience

Job Description:

• Tire installation and removal: Mounting and dismounting tires on and off tractor wheels, using tools like tire changers and lug wrenches
• Tire Repair: Patching or plugging tire punctures, replacing valves, identifying tire issues
• Tire Maintenance: Wheel alignments, rotating tires
• Inventory Management: Maintaining tire inventory, ordering new tires and keeping track of stock
• Safety and Compliance: Ensuring a safe work environment, following safety procedures, and adhering to company policies
• Roadside Assistance: Providing assistance to drivers with flat tires or other tire-related issues
