- Lead civil engineering design and project management for municipal infrastructure, including water and wastewater systems, drainage, utilities, roadway design, site development, conveyance, storage, and pump stations.
- Support the Client Team Lead with business development activities and help strengthen client relationships.
- Interact directly with clients to ensure successful project delivery.
- Mentor and develop team members in both technical skills and professional growth.
- Assist with proposals, presentations, and participation in professional organizations and tradeshows.
- Deliver projects within defined budget, schedule, and contractual commitments.
- Prepare engineering plans, manage GIS and file organization, and coordinate internal/external surveying and subconsultant activities.
- Assist with defining project scope and managing contract changes; negotiate scopes with subconsultants.
- Develop technical reports, feasibility studies, and engineering designs.
- Provide construction administration and coordinate construction management activities.
- Establish goals and performance feedback for team members.
- Participate in recruiting efforts, including networking events and college career fairs.
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in South Dakota
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing projects and client relationships
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the civil engineering consulting industry
- 15+ years of experience planning, designing, and constructing public utility projects
