Position: Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Supported Living Program
Employment Type: Full-Time (40 Hours per Week)
Work Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Starting Pay: $17.00 per hour
Location: Woodbridge & Dumfries, Virginia

The Arc of Greater Prince William/INSIGHT, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our Supported Living Program!

Our Supported Living Program provides individualized support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities, helping them develop independence, build meaningful relationships, and enjoy fulfilling lives.

Making a Difference in the Lives of Others Each Day!

• Provide person-centered support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and community settings.

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including personal care, meal preparation, household tasks, and daily routines.

• Promote independence by teaching and reinforcing daily living, social, and community integration skills.

• Support individuals in participating in recreational activities, appointments, shopping, and other community outings.

• Implement individualized service plans and behavioral support strategies as applicable.

• Assist with medication administration as authorized and trained.

• Monitor individuals' health, safety, and well-being and promptly report concerns.

• Complete accurate and timely documentation of services and supports provided.

• Maintain positive communication with individuals, families, supervisors, and other members of the support team.

• Provide transportation as required for appointments and community activities.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) preferred.

• Valid driver's license and acceptable three-year driving record required.

• Ability to successfully complete required training and certifications, including CPR/First Aid/AED, medication administration, and other applicable training.

• Ability to provide hands-on personal care and support individuals with varying levels of independence.

• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Dependable, patient, compassionate, and committed to person-centered services.

• Ability to meet applicable background screening and employment requirements.
