POSITION SUMMARY
This position will be responsible for receiving fishing vessels, unloading the catch, weighing the fish, and layer fish with ice in totes. This position will also be responsible for unloading totes at the end of the day at Salish Seafoods plant and load truck for delivery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Will receive fishing vessels at tender, tie them to tender and promptly unload fish by hand (Catches per fishing vessel can range between 100 to 10,000 lbs.)
- Identify the different fin-fish species.
- Maintain awareness and sensitivity to Native American Culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

· Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions, correspondence, and operational procedures.

Mathematical Skills:
· Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
· Ability to apply common sense and sound judgment to carry out detailed instructions and resolve routine problems involving standardized variables.
· Ability to identify and differentiate fin fish species and apply that knowledge in daily operations.
Computer Skills:
· Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email, data entry systems, and standard business software as required.
Requirements:EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education required:
· High School Diploma/GED and relevant experience operating hydraulic controls and operate lift trucks and booms.
Certificates & Licenses: Must have valid Washington State Driver’s License and must be bondable.
