This senior engineering role focuses on designing, building, and optimizing scalable Azure cloud infrastructure within a complex multi-subscription environment. You will play a key role in enabling engineering teams through automation, self-service platforms, and well-architected infrastructure standards that improve speed, reliability, and operational efficiency. The position is highly hands-on and deeply technical, requiring strong expertise in cloud-native systems, Infrastructure as Code, and production-grade deployment practices. You will contribute directly to the stability and performance of mission-critical healthcare technology services while driving DevOps maturity across the organization. In addition to architecture and implementation, you will mentor engineers, shape best practices, and help define scalable cloud operating models. This is a high-impact role where your work directly influences system reliability, cost efficiency, and delivery velocity across engineering teams.
- Design, build, and optimize scalable Azure-based infrastructure solutions using cloud architecture best practices to support high-availability, production-grade systems across multiple environments.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep to enable repeatable, automated, and consistent deployments.
- Support engineering teams by building self-service infrastructure capabilities, deployment automation, and standardized cloud environments to improve development velocity.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance the performance, reliability, and security of cloud infrastructure, proactively resolving incidents and minimizing downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and product teams to architect robust systems, support application deployments, and improve operational workflows.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response activities while continuously improving DevOps processes, observability, and system resilience.
- 8+ years of hands-on Azure cloud engineering experience, with additional exposure to AWS or GCP considered a plus.
- Extensive experience (8+ years) with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and/or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates or Bicep.
- Strong background in managing and designing production-grade Azure services including App Service, Azure Functions, AKS, Container Apps, and VM Scale Sets.
- 8+ years of experience in production-grade scripting and automation using Bash, PowerShell, Python, and/or Golang.
- Deep understanding of cloud security principles, infrastructure best practices, and compliance frameworks such as HIPAA and HITRUST.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex distributed system issues in large-scale environments.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with experience mentoring engineers and supporting cross-functional teams.
- Competitive base salary ranging from $150,289 to $225,434 depending on experience and location
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage
- Flexible work arrangements in a remote-first environment
- Paid time off, holidays, and wellness-focused programs
- Retirement savings plan options
- Learning and development opportunities in cloud and DevOps technologies
- Opportunity to work on large-scale, mission-critical healthcare systems
