Business Development Manager, Parking Safety

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Development Manager, Parking Safety based in the United States.

This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven sales professional to lead business growth initiatives within the parking safety market. In this fully remote role, you will be responsible for identifying new revenue opportunities, developing strategic customer relationships, and driving adoption of innovative safety solutions across a broad customer base. Working closely with channel partners, distributors, sales engineers, and cross-functional teams, you will play a key role in expanding market presence and delivering exceptional customer value. The position offers a dynamic blend of business development, account management, and industry engagement, making it ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Accountabilities
  • Drive outbound business development initiatives by executing targeted sales campaigns, generating qualified leads, and converting opportunities into revenue growth.
  • Identify, engage, and develop relationships with end users, distributors, channel partners, and key stakeholders within the parking safety industry.
  • Manage inbound and outbound prospecting activities through calls, emails, and other engagement strategies to build a robust sales pipeline.
  • Create tailored proposals and quotations while coordinating with distribution partners to deliver effective customer solutions.
  • Support opportunity development and sales closure efforts by collaborating closely with internal sales teams, independent representatives, and sales engineering resources.
  • Strengthen relationships with assigned distribution accounts through proactive account management, upselling, cross-selling, and business expansion initiatives.
  • Collaborate with product management, marketing, customer service, and other internal teams to support new product launches, campaigns, and customer acquisition efforts.
  • Monitor industry trends, market developments, and customer needs to position solutions effectively and maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Attend trade shows, industry events, customer meetings, and partner engagements to build relationships and uncover new business opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate sales activity records and leverage CRM and business intelligence tools to manage opportunities, forecast performance, and optimize sales processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience with a proven track record of business development and revenue generation.
  • Direct experience selling parking-related products or solutions within relevant commercial, municipal, or infrastructure markets.
  • Hands-on experience utilizing Salesforce CRM and other sales enablement platforms to manage pipelines and customer relationships.
  • Strong prospecting, negotiation, presentation, and closing skills with the ability to develop opportunities from initial contact through contract execution.
  • Demonstrated success managing distributor networks, channel partnerships, and strategic customer accounts.
  • Ability to understand customer requirements, communicate value propositions effectively, and develop tailored sales strategies.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills across multiple organizational levels.
  • Self-motivated and highly organized, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with modern sales and business tools, including CRM platforms, prospecting solutions, collaboration software, and reporting systems.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50–60% of the time for customer visits, industry events, trade shows, and partner meetings.
