You will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence across large-scale energy outage projects within a highly technical and fast-paced environment. This position sits at the intersection of project controls, field execution, and productivity optimization, ensuring that complex outage operations are delivered safely, efficiently, and within cost targets. You will lead regional efforts to improve planning accuracy, execution discipline, and real-time performance tracking across multiple projects. Acting as both a strategic partner and hands-on leader, you will collaborate closely with service directors, regional managers, and field teams to optimize resources, reduce inefficiencies, and improve delivery outcomes. The role also requires frequent engagement on-site during outages, where you will support Lean methodologies and execution improvement initiatives. In addition, you will manage and develop a team of project controls professionals, ensuring strong capability building and consistent reporting standards across the region.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead regional project controls and productivity operations across assigned outage programs, ensuring accurate tracking of cost, hours, schedules, and performance metrics.
  • Manage and develop a team of Project Controls Analysts, ensuring high-quality reporting, capability development, and succession planning within the sub-region.
  • Oversee outage planning, execution, and closeout processes, including cost reviews, KPI tracking, and operational performance analysis.
  • Partner with regional service leaders to optimize outage delivery, improve cost efficiency, and align execution with business targets and standards.
  • Analyze job cost estimates, manpower loading, and resource utilization to identify inefficiencies and drive productivity improvements.
  • Conduct site visits to support Lean Action Workouts, Pit Crew execution, and continuous improvement initiatives during outage delivery.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions for underperforming outages and ensure execution of productivity improvement programs across the region.
  • Drive standardized reporting rhythms, governance frameworks, and performance dashboards to ensure transparency and data-driven decision-making.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; extensive field or project management experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in complex, global operational environments.
  • 5+ years of experience managing teams and developing talent in technical or project-driven organizations.
  • Strong background in power generation, field services, or heavy industrial outage environments (gas and/or steam turbine experience required).
  • Proven expertise in project controls, planning tools (e.g., Primavera), and outage cost management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret operational data and drive actionable insights.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills across diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure, results-driven environment.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required (approx. 10–20%).
  • Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Benefits:
  • Competitive annual compensation ranging approximately from $103,200 to $150,000, plus potential incentives.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
  • Retirement savings programs and financial wellness support.
  • Health and wellness reimbursement programs to support employee wellbeing.
  • Bonus and incentive opportunities based on performance and impact.
  • Flexible, field-oriented work environment with opportunities for travel and site engagement.
  • Strong focus on professional development, leadership growth, and global career mobility.
