This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Manager, Contracts - Shockwave Medical based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead contract operations within a fast-paced healthcare and medical technology environment.
The position focuses on improving contract lifecycle management, data accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
You will oversee critical commercial contract processes while partnering with cross-functional teams across legal, finance, IT, and commercial operations.
The ideal candidate will combine contract expertise, analytical skills, and leadership capabilities to build scalable processes.
You will play a key role in ensuring accurate pricing, reporting, risk management, and contract governance.
This is a fully remote leadership opportunity with the ability to influence business operations and support innovative healthcare solutions.

Accountabilities:

The Manager, Contracts will oversee contract administration activities, improve processes, maintain data integrity, and lead initiatives that support commercial growth and operational excellence. This role requires strong collaboration across multiple functions to ensure contract information, pricing, compliance requirements, and reporting processes are accurate and sustainable.

  • Manage and audit commercial contract data capture processes, ensuring required information is accurately maintained across systems.
  • Draft, review, and redline commercial agreements while collaborating with legal and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Own contract lifecycle management processes, including storage, renewals, compliance tracking, and reporting.
  • Manage GPO/IDN membership activities and oversee accurate, timely fee reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, system enhancements, and technology improvements to strengthen contract management capabilities.
  • Ensure pricing information is accurately maintained and integrated with enterprise systems to support order accuracy.
  • Support financial and legal audits by partnering with relevant teams to streamline documentation and compliance processes.
  • Identify business risks related to contracts and develop processes, controls, and documentation to mitigate exposure.
  • Maintain vendor information repositories to support customer requests, proposals, and business documentation needs.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team while establishing goals, managing performance, and ensuring operational effectiveness.
  • Prioritize workload, allocate resources effectively, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:

The successful candidate will bring experience in contract management, healthcare operations, data quality, and team leadership. They should be comfortable managing complex processes, collaborating with senior stakeholders, and driving improvements in a regulated environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant contract, commercial operations, or related experience, preferably within medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare.
  • 3+ years of experience managing and developing teams toward strong performance outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of contract administration, compliance requirements, and operational processes.
  • Experience analyzing data, maintaining data quality, and using reporting tools to support business decisions.
  • Ability to review, interpret, and manage complex commercial terms and agreements.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Oracle, or similar enterprise systems is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks and implement practical solutions.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor teams and drive process improvements.

  • Competitive base salary range of approximately $118,000 - $203,550 annually, depending on location, experience, and qualifications.
