Job Summary

The Reports Writer supports our preventative and predictive testing program by turning test results, technician notes, and vendor findings into accurate, polished reports for our customers. This role keeps every program deliverable on track and well documented, and provides day to day administrative support to the Account Manager so they can stay focused on customers, renewals, and growing the program.

Report Writing and Review

  • Prepare and finalize customer reports for testing program work, including oil testing, electrical testing, and equipment inspections.
  • Review raw test data, technician field notes, and vendor results and turn them into clear, accurate reports.
  • Flag failed tests, unusual readings, or missing data to the Account Manager before a report goes to a customer.
  • Proofread and quality check every report before it is delivered.
  • Keep report templates up to date and consistent with Compu Dynamics branding.

Tracking and Recordkeeping

  • Track every deliverable in the testing program so we always know what is due, in progress, and delivered.
  • Follow up with technicians, vendors, and the Nerve Center to collect anything needed to finish a report on time.
  • File final reports and keep organized records by account and by equipment.
  • Log report delivery and account activity in HubSpot.

Administrative Support

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Account Manager, including meeting prep, customer correspondence, and document management.
  • Pull together renewal materials such as equipment lists and service history summaries.
  • Help assemble job handoff packages and make sure all supporting documents are complete.

Project Support

  • Help with project deliverables as needed, including closeout documents, program binders, and records requested by customers.
  • Support other documentation projects for the Service Division as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong writing, formatting, and proofreading skills.
  • Able to read and understand technical test data with training.
  • Well organized and able to juggle many deadlines at once.
  • Careful attention to detail.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel and comfortable working with PDFs.
  • Comfortable working in a CRM and keeping records current.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years in an administrative, report writing, document control, or coordination role.
  • Experience producing accurate, professional business documents.
  • Experience in electrical services, construction, facilities, or data centers preferred.
  • Familiarity with test reports, oil analysis results, or equipment inspection records preferred.
  • CRM experience preferred. HubSpot is a plus.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role works mainly in the office using standard office equipment like computers, phones, and copiers. Occasional visits to customer sites or data centers may be needed to support documentation. Hours are standard business hours with some flexibility needed around deadlines. Duties occasionally require standing, walking, sitting, using hands and arms, and lifting up to 20 pounds.

Compu Dynamics Pay Range
$65,000—$85,000 USD

  • Paid Parental Leave 8 weeks maternity leave and 2 weeks paternity leave, concurrent with FMLA.

  • Volunteer Time Off (VTO) 40 hours annually for community service.

  • Boot Reimbursement up to $150 annually, available from your first day.
  • Tool Reimbursement $250 annually, available after 60 days.

  • Tuition Reimbursement up to $5,000 annually for approved educational programs.
