AI Accounting Operations Sr. Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a AI Accounting Operations Sr. Manager based in Mexico.

This role is designed for an AI-focused finance technology leader who can transform accounting and operational processes through automation, data, and emerging AI capabilities.
You will act as a key enabler in building AI-native workflows that improve efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making across finance and operations.
The position combines hands-on AI implementation, financial expertise, workflow optimization, and team enablement.
You will help teams adopt AI tools effectively by creating scalable solutions, training resources, and responsible AI practices.
The role offers broad visibility, working across accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, and operational functions.
Success will be measured through measurable productivity gains, faster processes, stronger insights, and sustainable AI adoption.

Accountabilities:

The AI Accounting Operations Sr. Manager will lead the design, implementation, and scaling of AI-driven solutions that modernize finance and operational workflows. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, financial understanding, and the ability to influence teams through education and collaboration.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for applied AI across finance, accounting, and operational teams.
  • Lead AI enablement initiatives, including training programs, workshops, office hours, and skill development for business users.
  • Create reusable AI resources such as prompt libraries, workflow templates, and best-practice documentation.
  • Establish responsible AI frameworks, quality controls, governance processes, and documentation standards.
  • Identify automation opportunities across accounting processes including financial close, accounts payable, reconciliations, reporting, and audit support.
  • Build and deploy AI-powered workflows that reduce manual effort while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and internal controls.
  • Expand AI automation into operational areas such as cash reconciliation, inventory management, and fixed-asset accounting.
  • Improve forecasting, financial modeling, scenario analysis, and management reporting through AI-enhanced solutions.
  • Partner with finance and operations stakeholders to identify opportunities where AI can create measurable business value.
  • Track adoption, productivity improvements, and return on investment from implemented solutions.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines experience in finance, analytics, automation, and artificial intelligence with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, automation, finance technology, or related fields with demonstrated delivery experience.
  • Strong expertise with generative AI and large language models, including prompt engineering and AI workflow design.
  • Experience working with enterprise data platforms such as Snowflake, Oracle, or similar systems.
  • Strong SQL skills and the ability to work with complex business data.
  • Solid understanding of accounting and finance processes, including financial close, reporting, accounts payable, forecasting, and controls.
  • Proven ability to train, mentor, and support teams in adopting new technologies.
  • Experience with Python, automation frameworks, APIs, or scripting is preferred.
  • Background in financial modeling, forecasting solutions, or business intelligence dashboards is a plus.
  • Exposure to operational finance environments such as inventory management, reconciliation processes, or asset-based operations is highly valued.
  • Ability to bridge business needs and technology solutions while maintaining strong data governance and audit awareness.
Benefits:
