Pharmacy Supervisor (IV Admixture)
Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Supervisor (IV Admixture) for our multi-specialty oncology practice in the West Valley. In this role, lead our sterile compounding team, oversee daily operations, and ensure the highest standards of patient safety and regulatory compliance. We are looking for experienced Pharmacy Technicians with IV Admixture experience ready to take the next step in their career as a leader where you ‘ll combine your technical expertise with team development, to support exceptional oncology and infusion pharmacy services.
Leadership & Team Development
- Supervise, mentor, and support IV Admixture Technicians.Lead hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations.Manage staffing schedules, PTO requests, and call-out coverage.Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.Participate in leadership meetings and provide weekly operational reports.
Pharmacy Operations & Compliance
- Prepare and compound sterile medications as needed.Serve as a technical resource for pharmacy, nursing, and clinical staff.Ensure compliance with aseptic technique standards, PPE requirements, and pharmacy regulations.Conduct quality assurance audits, including prescription accuracy, temperature logs, equipment certifications, and medication expiration monitoring.Maintain SDS documentation and drug information resources.
Inventory & Financial Stewardship
- Oversee medication inventory control and month-end reporting.Coordinate drug purchasing and cost-saving initiatives.Monitor waste management and redistribution processes.Track equipment repair and acquisition activities.
Required Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician LicenseNational Pharmacy Technician Certification (CphT)High School Diploma or GED5+ years of IV compounding experience or graduation from an accredited IV Admixture Technician programStrong knowledge of aseptic techniques, pharmaceutical calculations, and medication safety standardsExcellent communication, organization, and leadership skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and pharmacy technology systemsValid Driver's License and ability to travel throughout the Metro Phoenix area
Preferred Qualifications
- IV CertificationBachelor's DegreeOncology experiencePrevious leadership or management experienceExperience with Lynx, OncoEMR, and retail pharmacy systems
