This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Financial Systems Architect based in the United States.
This is a senior individual-contributor opportunity focused on designing, configuring, and supporting Oracle Fusion ERP Cloud within a complex finance environment. You will work closely with Accounting, Finance, and business stakeholders to ensure financial systems effectively support operational and strategic needs. The role combines deep accounting expertise with hands-on enterprise systems experience, troubleshooting, process improvement, and user enablement. You will play a key role in maintaining system controls, supporting financial close activities, and ensuring SOX compliance. You will also evaluate new platform capabilities and identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and system functionality. This position is ideal for a technically strong finance professional who enjoys solving complex problems and working directly with end users.
- Manage, configure, support, and implement Oracle Financials modules within Oracle Fusion ERP Cloud.
- Provide hands-on support to Finance and Accounting users during daily operations, month-end close, and year-end close activities.
- Research business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements that strengthen financial operations and system effectiveness.
- Ensure SOX compliance by documenting system changes, access and permission changes, and relevant financial system controls.
- Partner with Accounting teams to document, standardize, and improve existing processes and workflows.
- Monitor Oracle releases and new functionality, assessing opportunities to enhance system capabilities and business processes.
- Deliver user training and create clear documentation covering system functionality, processes, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot Oracle Fusion issues, diagnose root causes, and provide timely and effective solutions.
- Perform data cleansing and quality improvement activities to strengthen reporting accuracy and process reliability.
- Design and implement creative solutions to complex financial systems and operational challenges.
- Support system-related requirements associated with acquisitions, divestitures, and changes across a global, multi-entity environment when needed.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, and Enterprise Applications to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Requirements:
- Significant accounting and finance experience, with a CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification preferred.
- 10+ years of experience supporting Oracle environments, including at least five years working with Oracle Fusion ERP Cloud.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle Financials modules, particularly General Ledger, Global Intercompany System, Accounts Payable, and Cash Management.
- Experience with Procurement is preferred, while knowledge of Order-to-Cash processes is a plus.
- Proven experience supporting financial systems audits, controls, and SOX compliance requirements.
- Strong understanding of Oracle role structures, permissions, and access management.
- Familiarity with OTBI and basic Oracle database/table structures.
- Demonstrated experience creating technical and process documentation and delivering user training.
- Strong ability to analyze business requirements, design dynamic solutions, and clearly document proposed approaches.
- Experience directly supporting end users during daily finance operations and month-end or year-end close activities.
- Experience working in global, multi-entity, and multi-currency environments.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with Finance and Accounting users at all organizational levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a creative approach to complex technical and business challenges.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while adapting quickly to an evolving business environment.
