What You'll Do
As a Senior Engineer, you will play a key role in the planning, design, and execution of land development projects, including:
- Preparing site and civil engineering plans for residential, commercial, mixed-use, and public-sector projects
- Designing roadway, grading, drainage, stormwater management, sediment control, water, and sewer infrastructure systems
- Developing technical analyses, exhibits, graphics, reports, and supporting documentation
- Coordinating with project managers, clients, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies
- Managing project tasks to meet schedules, budgets, and client expectations
- Supporting multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
- Mentoring and training junior engineering and design staff
- Contributing technical expertise throughout all phases of project development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in civil engineering and land development design
- Experience working on projects throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area
- Strong understanding of site development design, including grading, drainage, stormwater management, sediment control, roadways, and utility systems
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and attention to detail
- Experience with Montgomery County projects is preferred
- Maryland Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required
