Job Description
Under the general supervision of the EVP, Chief Operating Officer, the Core Banking Systems Administrator serves as a key administrator and internal resource for the Bank’s COCC INSIGHT core banking platform and related applications.
This position partners with departments throughout the Bank to troubleshoot system issues, coordinate upgrades, test and implement new functionality, improve workflows, administer user access and support integrations with third-party applications. The position works closely with the Chief Operating Officer, department leaders, technology and information-security resources, COCC support teams and other assigned vendors to provide a reliable and user-friendly technology experience for customers and employees.
The successful candidate may bring experience from core systems administration, banking operations, application support, deposit operations, electronic services, loan operations or another area involving significant responsibility for banking technology. Direct COCC INSIGHT experience is highly valued; however, candidates with experience supporting another core banking platform or complex financial-services application are encouraged to apply.
Essential Functions- Administer and support COCC INSIGHT, CollaborateNOW, iDentifi and other applications that integrate with the Bank’s core processing system.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the capabilities of the Bank’s core processing system, including existing functionality, proposed enhancements, upgrades and products that may affect Bank operations.
- Troubleshoot application incidents and operational issues, coordinate support with COCC and other vendors, monitor open support cases and escalate matters when appropriate.
- Communicate system interruptions, anticipated downtime, resolution timelines and other relevant information to affected employees and departments.
- Maintain approved core-system parameters and assist with the configuration, testing and implementation of new products, services, forms and functionality.
- Lead or participate in core-system upgrades, integrations, conversions, implementations and other cross-functional technology projects using effective project-management practices.
- Partner with departments throughout the Bank to identify business requirements, recommend system solutions and implement workflow or process improvements.
- Administer employee access and permissions for the core system and assigned ancillary applications, including the creation, modification and deactivation of user accounts in accordance with approved requests and established security controls.
- Support periodic user-access reviews, reporting and other internal-control requirements for assigned applications.
- Support and monitor third-party interfaces with the core banking system, including document management, digital banking, electronic banking and other integrated applications.
- Coordinate the core forms-upgrade process, including the implementation of updated forms, electronic-signature functionality and document-archive parameters.
- Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards and processes that improve data quality, operational integrity, productivity and management reporting.
- Design and optimize workflows to improve efficiency, strengthen internal controls and support streamlined operations.
- Create, maintain and enhance documentation related to system configurations, user access, operational procedures, project implementations and troubleshooting.
- Participate in COCC user groups, training programs, conferences and other professional-development opportunities to maintain knowledge of available functionality and recommended practices.
- Serve as an internal consultant and subject-matter resource by providing guidance, training and support to employees who use the Bank’s core and ancillary systems.
- Serve as the primary operational contact for assigned technology vendors. This responsibility does not include ownership of the Bank’s overall vendor-management program unless specifically assigned.

Requirements: Required Qualifications
- Three or more years of relevant experience in banking operations, financial-services technology, application support, systems administration or a related area.
- Experience supporting a core banking system, banking application or other complex business application.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot system issues, coordinate with vendors and provide effective support to end users.
- Experience participating in system implementations, upgrades, testing, integrations or process-improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to evaluate operational needs and recommend practical system solutions.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and complete multiple assignments and projects.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment and operate effectively within the scope of assigned authority.
- Ability to document procedures and communicate technical information clearly to nontechnical users.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Experience with COCC INSIGHT, Fiserv DNA or another core banking platform.
- Experience with CollaborateNOW, iDentifi, document-management systems, digital-banking applications or related financial-services technology.
- Experience administering system access and user permissions.
- Familiarity with Crystal Reports, SQL or another reporting and data-analysis platform.
- Experience leading or coordinating banking technology projects, system implementations or organizational change initiatives.
- Knowledge of banking operations, internal controls, information security and regulatory expectations applicable to financial-services technology.
- Strong technical aptitude and demonstrated ability to learn new applications and system functionality.
- Ability to translate business and operational requirements into effective technology solutions.
- Ability to facilitate cross-functional projects and develop productive working relationships with employees, leaders and outside vendors.
